Color Reaction Guide

When applied to a test streak on a testing stone:

• Creamy Color – High quality silver, typically sterling silver (.925)

• Black – Coin silver or lower purity silver

• Green – High copper content, poor quality silver

• Gold / Yellow – Indicates silver-plated or brass content

This clear solution is designed to confirm the presence of silver, but it does not differentiate precise silver purities such as:
