The Presidium Diamond Mate A/C is a compact handheld diamond tester designed to instantly verify the authenticity of diamonds. Using thermal conductivity testing, the device distinguishes real diamonds from common simulants such as cubic zirconia and glass.
The tester features a retractable thermoelectric probe tip that maintains consistent pressure against the gemstone during testing, helping ensure accurate and reliable results. With an ultra-thin 0.6 mm probe tip, the Diamond Mate can test diamonds as small as 0.02 carats, making it suitable for both loose stones and mounted jewelry.
Results are displayed instantly through LED indicator lights and audible signals, allowing jewelers, pawn shops, and gemstone buyers to quickly confirm whether a stone is a diamond.

Thermal diamond testers like the Diamond Mate cannot distinguish moissanite from diamond, because both have similar thermal conductivity. A tester with electrical conductivity (such as the Presidium Multi Tester III) is required for that distinction.
