The ALY-57 ultra white, sterling silver casting alloy is designed to mix with fine silver. It is heat treatable, contains patented deoxidizers that resist oxygen absorption, and will cast without firescale. Other advantages over standard sterling silver include high tarnish resistance, reduced gas porosity, reduced shrinkage porosity, and hardness equal to sterling silver.

• Melting Temperature: 1040°C (1904°F).
• Quench 15–20 minutes.
